Illegal use of medical certificates takes place very often. What is more, a medical certificate may not always be issued based on the bad health condition of a given employee.

There have been cases where an employee used additional “days off” to go on holidays or finish redecorating his flat. The employer has certain tools which can be used to avoid similar acts and check if an employee used this time to get better as intended – for example, the employer may perform an inspection. Furthermore, it is also possible to check and verify the medical certificate itself.
